A common mistake after a salon treatment is forgetting about home care and expecting your hair to stay perfect on its own.
  • Regular home care helps to maximize the longevity of the treatment.
  • Quality home care prevents the active development of dryness and split ends.
  • Properly chosen care will address a number of existing issues with your hair.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USING HOME CARE PRODUCTS FROM ME:

When using conditioners, balms, masks, heat protectant sprays, serums, or leave-in creams, always apply them to slightly damp, towel-dried hair. Water is a true conductor and helper that allows active ingredients to easily and deeply penetrate the structure of each hair strand.

Hair Care Routine

Shampoo
The first step is cleansing. Shampoo removes dirt, excess oil, styling products, and other impurities. It’s important to choose a shampoo that suits your hair type (for example, dry, oily, or damaged hair). If your hair is heavily soiled, shampooing twice can help achieve a deeper cleanse.
Mask
After cleansing, it's important to restore and nourish the hair. A mask contains more intensive active ingredients that penetrate the hair structure and nourish it from within. It works longer than a conditioner and helps to hydrate and repair the hair. Apply the mask to damp hair and leave it on for 5–15 minutes to allow all the nutrients to absorb.
Conditioner
Conditioner softens the hair, makes it easier to comb, and restores moisture balance. It’s essential for sealing the cuticle after using a mask, so the hair stays smooth, hydrated, and frizz-free. It helps lock in the mask’s benefits and gives the hair a healthy shine.
Heat Protection
Before styling, apply heat protectant to damp hair to prevent damage from hot tools (blow dryer, straightener, curling iron). Heat protection products create a barrier that reduces the negative impact of heat on the hair’s structure, preventing breakage and dryness.
Oil for the Ends
Hair oil is used to care for the ends, which are usually the most dry and damaged. It nourishes, moisturizes, and restores the ends, making them healthier and shinier. Oil helps prevent split ends, keeping them soft and smooth.

SHAMPOOS SHOULD ALWAYS BE CHOSEN BASED ON SCALP TYPE, NOT HAIR STRUCTURE

How to determine your hair type?
  • OILY TYPE
Washing hair once every 1–2 days
  • NORMAL TYPE
Washing hair once every 3 days
  • DRY TYPE
Washing hair once every 4–5 days

SHAMPOOS FOR OILY SCALP TYPE

It’s easiest to choose a shampoo for oily scalp, as the dense layer of sebum acts as a barrier, preventing bacteria from developing on the surface.
I recommend avoiding shampoos with a high silicone content, as they create an additional film that can clog pores and interfere with healthy hair growth.
Moreover, this film can trap dead skin cells, and after discontinuing silicone-based products, dandruff may appear.

SHAMPOOS FOR NORMAL SCALP TYPE

For this scalp type, I don’t recommend using shampoos containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, as it is too harsh and can over-cleanse the scalp. This may lead to dandruff, flaking, itching, and a feeling of tightness.
It’s best to look for the following types of products:

SHAMPOOS FOR DRY SCALP TYPE

The scalp type is a genetic trait that cannot be changed, so it’s important to learn how to choose the right home care products.
For a dry scalp, you should select shampoos that not only moisturize and nourish but also provide gentle cleansing without irritating the skin.

HAIR MASKS

Masks are designed to retain moisture within the hair structure. They are essential for all hair types—regardless of color, texture, thickness, or length.

CONDITIONERS

Always apply conditioners/balms after any mask for 2–5 minutes to seal the cuticle and make combing easier.

LEAVE-IN CARE

Some products work to improve the hair structure by filling in gaps with similar components. They also create a protective layer that smooths the cuticle, making the hair less frizzy, tangled, and dull.

HEAT PROTECTION

Heat protection prevents hair damage during styling, shields it from high temperatures, retains moisture, minimizes breakage, and helps preserve color when using a blow dryer, flat iron, or curling wand.

OILS

Apply the product to damp hair — it forms a protective layer that helps lock in moisture, preventing excessive dryness.
When using a new product, start with a small amount and add more if needed. Using too much oil can make your hair look greasy quickly.
